2019 has been a busy, crazy, wonderful year. Not without its challenges. More about this later in a separate note. And the year is not over yet. There are still a few exciting events I would like to let you know about…
Here’s what’s happening in December: I’m part of Toronto’s Propeller Art Gallery’s annual “Off the Wall” fundraiser. Over 100 pieces of art have been donated for this event. For the price of a ticket, you get to take a work of art “Off the Wall” and take it home. The preview starts today and the crowning event takes place on Thursday, December 12, 2019. To find out more and to get your ticket(s), please visit the Propeller site at propellerartgallery.ca. I will also be part of a new group exhibition titled “In the Mood”. The exhibition takes place at Blitz Art Gallery, located at 101 Richmond Street East, in Toronto. In the Mood runs for three weeks, from Tuesday, December 10 to Monday, December 30, 2019. The opening reception will be on Saturday, December 14, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. For more details, please visit blogto.com/events/in-the-mood-toronto. And if that wasn’t enough, I also have work at the Roastery Art Gallery until December 23, 2019. The gallery is located within the Roastery Coffee House, at 401 Richmond Street West. The Roastery is open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. I also have work at PI Fine Arts located at 1180 Caledonia Road in Toronto. Summer has finally come to Toronto. And that means that it’s time for the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. This year is the 58th edition of the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. And it’s my fourth participation. The art fair attracts over 350 artists in a variety of media – painting, drawing, pottery, jewellery, sculpture. If you’re in Toronto on July 12, 13 or 14, or planning to come to Toronto on those dates, drop by Nathan Phillips Square – just in front of City Hall. I will be in booth A110. ![]() My new exhibition is taking place at Propeller Gallery in Toronto from May 29 to June 9, 2019. The exhibition is titled "Colour of the Night". See details below.
Four years ago, in March 2015, I had the privilege to spend time at Cill Rialaig, an art residency program in Co. Kerry, Ireland. It was simply amazing. Since then, I’ve been painting a lot, exploring different approaches and different media, showing my work. And now the journey continues - I’m very excited to have been accepted for another residency, in October 2019. I am very happy to be a part of this year's Artist Project in Toronto from February 21 to 24, 2019. This is my first participation in this exhibition. I will be presenting my work on booth 810. I hope to see you there.
For the purchase of tickets online please use the code of EXHON2019 for the opening night on February 21, and EXH2019 the visits on February 22, 23 and 24. The exhibition takes place from Wednesday January 9, 2019 to Sunday, January 27, 2019. I have three paintings in the exhibition - Mystic Sky, Deep as the Night, and Blush.
Come to the opening reception on Thursday, January 10, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Or join us for our ‘meet the artist’ event on Sunday, January 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Here are pictures from my exhibition "What lies beneath" at Propeller Gallery in Toronto. If you’re in Toronto and have an irresistible urge to visit an art gallery, or if you’re looking for a good reason to come to Toronto, you don’t need to look any further. My new exhibition titled “What Lies Beneath” will take place from June 20 to July 1, 2018 at Propeller Gallery, in the Queen Street West and Dovercourt area. Full details are above.
