My next solo exhibition, The Winds of Time, will take place at Toronto’s Propeller Art Gallery. The show will be on from Wednesday, March 29 to Sunday, April 16,2023.
The Winds of Time refers to time’s ability to slowly change everything. To change our memory of the places we might have been, to change our memory of the moments we might have lived.
In my work, The Winds of Time refer to the deliberate evolution of my art in time. They refer to how my work shifts between levels of abstraction. My work becomes the imagination of that memory. And what we think we recognize has become more ambiguous, more mysterious.
And The Winds of Time refer to how I slowly alternate between media – painting on canvas or on paper, sculpture, mixed media, video – and how my slowly evolves within these media.
The gallery is located at 30 Abell Street, in Toronto’s West Queen West district. The gallery hours are 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Wednesday to Sunday. The official opening will be on Saturday, April 1 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. However, if you wish to visit outside of the regular gallery hours, please contact me and I can arrange a private visit.
While I hope to see you at the gallery, I get that not everyone can make it in person. If so, you can see the artwork online on the gallery website. Or, you can take a peek right here.
